I'm Felipe Pachá, Platform Engineering Director at Cencosud S.A., a retail group with operations across Latin America.

More than 14 years in technology, more than 7 of them at Cencosud. I lead a regional team of 80 people in 6 countries.

We run the internal platform that lets engineering teams build, operate and scale products with autonomy, speed and reliability.

Before this, I led the apps and websites of Jumbo, Santa Isabel, Spid and Paris, then Engineering Chile and IT Operations.

I work across AWS, Azure and GCP, with SRE, observability and FinOps, and I manage Capex/Opex budgets and strategic vendors.

I led Operations and Platform, responsible for the continuity and resilience of critical technology services. Critical applications for retail, e-commerce, loyalty, supply chain, payments, POS, CRM and ERP. Infrastructure and cloud on AWS, Azure, a cloud ERP platform and on-premise, with ITIL incident, problem and change management. Observability with OpenTelemetry, New Relic and SigNoz, and SRE/DevOps practices to improve MTTR, availability and performance. Vendors and SLAs, with a focus on cost (FinOps).
